Each console version was different in their Anti-Piracy measures.

The Xbox version being the most unique; Upon character creation, the player enters the Daydream level, but the DJ plays different music that does not match the setting of the level. Around 5 seconds in the area emits gas from the ceiling, causing Sims to slowly pass out on the dance floor. After the player passes out, a loading screen appears and they are taken to a gravesite of dead Sims. Reading the epitaphs reveals that each one died for committing heinous crimes such as "playing pirated copies of The Sims Bustin' Out". The player cannot press pause to quit, their only option is to turn off the console.

The PS2 version had the same Daydream level measure but instead of ending up in a graveyard, they are taken inside a house with no furniture with the Grim Reaper following them until they are caught. Once caught, an Anti-Piracy warning is shown on the screen and will continuously display until the console is powered off.

The GameCube version triggered a black screen with the Anti-Piracy warning a minute into character creation. If the player completes character creation before the timer runs out, they will be able to play the Daydream level normally but the trigger will eventually hit no more than 15 minutes of gameplay at any moment.

GBA version had no special measure but instead displayed the message on a black background with plain white text.
