Our TOPIC: The Word Of God – Our Source Of Hope.

Today SCRIPTURE: My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. Psalm chapter 119 Verse 81. Hallelujah!

Our Thought For The Day: You are not permitted to be hopeless if you are worded.

The importance of the Word of God in the life of the child of God can never be over emphasized. The Word of God is as necessary to a person as clean water is to a thirsty man (Ephesians chapter 5 verse 26). If the Word of God is likened to water, then it means as it is impossible for a person to survive without water so is it for anyone to live without the Word.

Now, why is the Word of God necessary? We will look at one of the reasons today. The Word of God is the hope of the child of God. Psalm chapter 119 verse 81 says, My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. The Word of God is fuel for hope in the heart of man. Psalm 119 verse 114 also corroborates this.
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
Psalm chapter 62 verse 5 buttresses it, My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

Beloved, wait only upon God and His Word, not upon man, not upon the government, not upon connection abroad.

Some time ago, someone called me from Europe and said, “Pastor, pray for me.” I asked her, “Why?” And she said, “They have given me three weeks to return to Nigeria.” And I said to her, “Why do they want you to return to Nigeria, are you not staying there legally?”
She said, she went there as a refugee, like an asylum seeker, that they have not been able to work on her papers for her to stay there legally.

I got very angry in my spirit and asked her, “Asylum? Why? Are you a refugee? Which war did you run from? It is because of your type that people don’t respect us abroad. Is refugee a good thing?” I asked her, “So what do you want?” She said, “Pray for me.” Then I prayed, “Father, let your will be done in her life. If it is your will for her to return to Nigeria, let her return.” I am sure she regretted calling me.

Beloved, look up to God and to His Word; stop working for connection that will amputate your life. The Word of God gives us hope. The meaning is, you are not permitted to be hopeless if you are worded. Wordlessness can bring hopelessness. Place yourself on a consistent diet of the Word. Hopelessness and discouragement are the twins of suicidal tendencies.
The Word of God is what fuels hope in man and hope in man attracts the help of God. So, if you are not wordless, you can’t be hopeless.
Remember this: You are not permitted to be hopeless if you are worded.

Take this ASSIGNMENTS with you:
#1. Ingest the Word of God into your spirit daily.
#2. Refuse to place your hope on man or in the systems of this world.
#3. Locate a scripture that addresses what you are trusting God for and wait on God for the manifestation. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Lord, my eyes are on You. I cannot fear what the future holds because You hold my future in Your Hands Lord. Thank You for bringing my expectations to pass, Lord in Jesus Name. Amen hallelujah.

Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways,And how small a whisper we hear of Him!But the thunder of His power who can understand?” hallelujah!

Job chapter 27, Moreover Job continued his discourse, and said: “As God lives, who has taken away my justice,And the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter, As long as my breath is in me,And the breath of God in my nostrils, My lips will not speak wickedness,Nor my tongue utter deceit. Far be it from meThat I should say you are right;Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go;My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live. “May my enemy be like the wicked,And he who rises up against me like the unrighteous. For what is the hope of the hypocrite,Though he may gain much,If God takes away his life? Will God hear his cryWhen trouble comes upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty?Will he always call on God? “I will teach you about the hand of God;What is with the Almighty I will not conceal. Surely all of you have seen it;Why then do you behave with complete nonsense? “This is the portion of a wicked man with God,And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty: If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword;And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. Those who survive him shall be buried in death,And their widows shall not weep, Though he heaps up silver like dust,And piles up clothing like clay— He may pile it up, but the just will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver. He builds his house like a moth,Like a booth which a watchman makes. The rich man will lie down, But not be gathered up;He opens his eyes,And he is no more. Terrors overtake him like a flood;A tempest steals him away in the night. The east wind carries him away, and he is gone;It sweeps him out of his place. It hurls against him and does not spare;He flees desperately from its power. Men shall clap their hands at him,And shall hiss him out of his place. Hallelujah!
