The Bad News I received from my doctor.

Today, I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Kendall at Shady Grove Fertility. It was a call I’d been both dreading and hoping for—hoping for clarity, yet fearing what that clarity might bring.

After months of testing, treatments, and consultations, we finally sat down to discuss my fertility prognosis. Dr. Kandall was gentle but direct, and I appreciated the honesty. Still, nothing could truly prepare me for hearing the words: “You have about a 3% chance of getting pregnant.”

The number itself felt crushing. Three percent—so small, almost negligible. It’s the kind of number we often round down to zero in our daily lives, but when it's your future hanging in the balance, even 3% becomes monumental.

For now, I’m holding onto that 3% as both a sobering truth and a small glimmer. It’s not the ending I’d hoped for, but maybe it’s the beginning of something else—something still worth hoping for.
