Gameplay Part 10 (Finale)

Earth is burning. The Reapers have taken over, and other civilizations are falling like dominoes. Lead the final fight to save humanity and take back Earth from these terrifying machines, Commander Shepard. You’ll need backup for these battles. Fortunately, the galaxy has a habit of sending unexpected species your way. Recruit team members and forge new alliances, but be prepared to say goodbye at any time as partners make the ultimate sacrifice. It’s time for Commander Shepard to fight for the fate of the human race and save the galaxy.

In this playthrough we cover:

Act 4:
After ending their second multi-century conflict, Shepard is directed to the Asari homeworld of Thessia in search of the Catalyst, the key component of the Crucible, putting them on a collision course with Cerberus. The assault on this shadowy organization's headquarters mark the beginning of the end of Shepard's long journey to stop the Reapers.

Leviathan DLC Part 3:
After rescuing Dr. Ann Bryson and uncovering clues about the Leviathan's location, Shepard traces the signal to the oceanic planet 2181 Desponia. There, Shepard descends into the depths using a submersible and encounters the Leviathans—ancient beings who were the galaxy's apex species before the Reapers. They reveal that they created the Intelligence (the Catalyst) to preserve organic life, but it turned against them, creating the Reapers and initiating the cycles of extinction. Shepard persuades the Leviathans to join the fight against the Reapers. Upon returning to the surface, the Leviathans demonstrate their power by disabling an attacking Reaper, solidifying their commitment to aid in the war.

Priority: Cerberus Headquarters:
Commander Shepard leads a mission to storm Cerberus Headquarters after tracking the Illusive Man's location through the recovered data. The Normandy arrives at a heavily fortified Cerberus base where Shepard's team must infiltrate, battling Cerberus forces and hostile mechs. Inside, Shepard discovers horrifying experiments on humans and Reaper tech integration. The team frees prisoners, including a captured scientist with critical information. Eventually, Shepard confronts and defeats Kai Leng in a dramatic boss fight. The Illusive Man

Priority: Earth:
In the climactic mission, Shepard leads the united galactic forces in an all-out assault on Earth to retake it from the Reapers. The battle begins in orbit and transitions to a massive ground offensive in London. Shepard coordinates with Admiral Hackett and Admiral Anderson to clear Reaper anti-aircraft defenses and open the way for the Crucible superweapon. During the push to the Citadel beam, Shepard is gravely injured but manages to reach the beam and is transported to the Citadel. Inside, Shepard finds a mortally wounded Anderson and confronts the Illusive Man, now fully indoctrinated. Shepard successfully convinces the Illusive Man of his indoctrination, leading to his suicide. With Anderson dying, Shepard opens the Citadel's arms to allow the Crucible to dock.

Finale & Ending:
Shepard is then transported to a platform where he encounters the Catalyst, an AI representing the collective consciousness of the Reapers (the little boy). The Catalyst explains the purpose of the Reapers and presents Shepard with 2 of the games 3 ending choices: Destroy or Control (apparently we didn't unlock Synthesis). Choosing Control, Shepard sacrifices himself, becoming a new, benevolent AI to direct the Reapers. The Reapers cease all hostilities and begin aiding in the reconstruction of the galaxy. The Normandy survives the Crucible wave with minimal damage, and key squadmates like Joker, Liara, and Garrus are seen safely exiting the ship. Shepard's essence lives on as the intelligence overseeing peace in the galaxy.
