Have Christians Drastically Misunderstood Giving?

While it's commonly understood that Christans are suppossed to be generous, I don't think many Christians fully understand the incredible reality behind why we are commanded (yes, commanded) to give. It's a lot more than just paying a "membership fee" to your church!

In this video, I attempt to convince you from the scriptures why giving is not only a reflection of the nature of God, but EXTREMELY beneficial to you spiritually. I also offer some practical tips on giving.

When giving, remember: it's not about the amount you give, but the heart behind it. Recall the poor widow who gave all she had to live on. Jesus commended her for her generosity even above those that gave more, because she gave from her poverty, rather than from her wealth. It's your heart that God is after in this!
