Numbers 23 – Balaam, Balak, seven altars, seven bulls and seven rams. 2023

Num 23:29
And Balaam said to Balak, "Build seven altars for me here and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me here."
Num 23:30
And Balak did just as Balaam had said, and offered up a bull and a ram on each altar.

Balak is willing to believe in sorcery, pay a large portion of his kingdom to a charlatan, and do almost anything to prevent his destruction. The one thing he will not do is submit himself to the great El Shaddai.
