Mysterious Rotting Wood Lamp With Mushrooms and Epoxy Resin – Nature Art From Decay

While walking through the forest, I found this beautifully decayed branch—its wood soft, riddled with wormholes, and covered with tiny mushrooms, most likely Turkey Tail. I couldn’t leave it behind. I preserved its fragile texture in epoxy resin and turned it into a one-of-a-kind lamp. The trapped air bubbles created a mystical, underwater-like effect that makes the piece look like a frozen moment of magic.

This artwork is part of my ongoing series where I transform natural decay into meaningful, lasting design.
Watch how this forgotten piece of wood became something truly special.
