Numbers 14 – Why did they want to appoint another leader instead of Moses? 2023

Num 14:4
So they said to one another, "Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt."

They are wanting to select another leader instead of the one that Elohim had selected. They wanted to go their own way which Scripture says is to "devise evil" (Prov. 14:22).
