Num 6:21
"This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to the LORD according to his separation, in addition to what else he can afford; according to his vow which he takes, so he shall do according to the law of his separation."

This is the law of the Nazirite. It is a voluntary vow that can be taken lifelong or for a period of time (common). The Nazirite must avoid grapes and anything made from grapes, dead things, and cutting his hair. At the end of the period of separation, he must shave his head and give offerings. Then he can drink wine. What is the significance for us today? I think this law is greater than we can imagine. This vow might be one of the keys to restoring Elohim's kingdom. It appears that Yeshua took that vow and is still taking that vow today in set-apart service to His Father. Yeshua vowed to avoid wine at His last Passover celebration (Matt. 26:29, Mark 14:25, Luke 22:17-18). He was dedicating Himself to solely perform His Father's work. He was faithful until death and He is faithfully and fully dedicated to that work even today as Mediator for us. He took the vow because He has obtained a more excellent ministry and is Mediator of a better covenant, which is enacted on better promises (Heb. 8:6). He is now our High Priest according to the order of Mechizedek (Heb. 5:9-10). When will He finish this vow? It will happen when He returns. Isaiah seems to state that He is going to shave His head in fulfillment of the vow (Isaiah 7:18-20). Then He is going to enjoy wine with His people (Isaiah 25:5-9). This was prophesied in Matthew when it was stated that He would be called a "Nazarene" (Matt. 2:23). Almost all commentators point to the account of Sampson and say this passage in Matthew is a fulfillment of Judges 13:5.
