>> This way?
>> Sure, start with you.
>> So actually a lot of great work in treasury this week. One of the crazy things with regards to the treasury is that when a payment is made and the computer of the treasury pay about $5 trillion per year, crazy amounts, there was formally not a budget code on there. A payment was made, you did not know what it was for. It could have been for anything. There was a four billion-dollar Covid fund in the Department of Education. There was no receipt required so people could just draw down on it. When people looked into it before us they found that money was being used to rent out caesar’s palace for parties, rent out stadiums, et cetera. So the one change that – made his we had the simple requirement that if you draw down money you must first upload a receipt. That was the only change made, you must upload your receipt. Upon doing so nobody drew down money anymore.
>> We did not say that we would check the receipt. You can send a picture of your dog. Anything. But as soon as we ask for anything at all, suddenly they were like we don’t need it anymore. That’s interesting.
>> Jesse: they were renting caesar’s palace?
>> Yes. Basically partying on taxpayer money.
>> Jesse: stadiums.
>> Yes.
>> Jesse: leasing stadiums.
>> Leasing stadiums.
>> Jesse: for what?
>> Parties basically.
>> Jesse: parties. That’s a big party. You would think if you were stealing you would start small.
>> They do start small. What happens is over the years – generally it starts out small and they try to hide it but year after year if nobody stops the fraud it gets more and more brazen and every year it gets bigger until they are literally renting out stadiums.
>> Jesse: a million dollars to rent out a stadium?
>> Fraud, okay? At scale.
>> Jesse: this is driving me crazy. When you find these things, to you guys get mad? Are you like yes, I got one! How does it make you feel?
>> It’s so common.
[Laughs]
>> You get numb to it.
>> The hundredth time you’ve heard it, it’s hard not to get a little numb. By the 200th time you are like well okay it’s just another day at the office.
