Rainy Kayaking Adventure

This was my first true kayaking adventure of 2025 and boy was it a good one! I overcame mother nature, camera malfunctions, losing a paddle and numerous hang ups to have a great day of fishing with fellow content creators Randall Rydes (Randall Rydes Fishing) and Mark Lee (Onlyfins). We also had a couple of others with us that day, which made it pretty awesome... especially with how crappy the weather was. I used our Old Town Sportsman PDL106. I should have used my trusty Topwater PDL120. Other than filling with a little water, the 106 did a good job. I brought it specifically for navigating through the rapids.

The NIKKO hellgrammites I was using, were on fire! I was using a light brown color to start. (I lost the only three I had) Eventually, I ended up using the mudbug color, which did okay but wasn't as good as the light brown.

Overall, it was a good day with some pretty good fishing. This trip was long overdue. I can't wait to get out and fish more! Stay tuned!
