You won't believe what it can do. So you might think something so small is not very useful. But not only can a computer of this size play Doom, it solved a great extinction mystery. Cuz this isn't just the world's smallest electronic device. It is a complete computer.

And while the goal is to get it small enough to fit inside biological cells, this is already useful. The University of Michigan uses these to get data that nobody else can get. Like by tracking snails in Tahiti, they learned why a predator wiped out every species, except one. The one snail species tolerates more sunlight than the predator, so it hid in the sun.
