Today Brenda was recognized by the Florida Senate for 40 years of service. We love you, Brenda!

For Decades Brenda Dickinson has been a voice for parents at the Capitol. She is now retiring after 40 years of sacrifice and service. Brenda sat at the table with Representative Daniel Webster and her husband Craig Dickinson and helped draft the original home education statute. 1006.15 The Craig Dickinson Act is named after her husband. Brenda's involvement has helped bring homeschooling from an unknown to a common day choice. She has also worked on policies related to Dual Enrollment, Bright Futures, Florida Virtual School, state college admissions, the Gardiner Scholarship, PEP, and transfer of credits and also served on a 2000 committee rewrite the school code. She has sacrificed much time and resources and is now retiring after 40 years. Brenda is an inspiration and an incredible person. And I hope you will join me in thanking her.
