Amon, son of Manasseh, reigned briefly as king of Judah and continued the wicked practices of his father, including idol worship and rejecting the Lord, without ever repenting. Unlike his father who eventually humbled himself, Amon persisted in evil and was judged by God through a violent conspiracy that led to his assassination. His death marked both divine judgment and the transition to his son Josiah, who would later bring godly reform to the nation.
