Captured Messerschmitt Me 410 A-3 in RAF colors with No. 1426 Flight

This aircraft was formerly F6+OK of 2(F)/122, which landed intact and was captured at Monte Corvino, Italy after the crew had become lost during a photo–reconnaissance mission in the Naples area.

From some angles it bears more than a passing resemblance to the British Mosquito of similar size and configuration, something that led to a number of friendly fire incidents.
