Ed Dowd warned that Spain and Portugal’s massive infrastructure failures are a direct result of abandoning stable energy sources.

"When you remove coal, gas, and nuclear, the grid becomes unstable. This is what you get. Blackouts, blackouts, blackouts."

Dowd, a former electric utility analyst, says this should be a wake-up call for the US.
