God Appears to Abraham (v.1–8):

The Lord appears to Abraham near the oaks of Mamre in the form of three men (angels or a theophany).

Abraham offers generous hospitality, serving them a meal — a model of Middle Eastern hospitality and reverence.

Sarah's Doubt and God’s Promise (v.9–15):

The visitors reaffirm that Sarah will have a son within a year.

Sarah laughs in disbelief because of her old age, but God asks, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

God gently confronts Sarah’s doubt, showing He knows all hearts.

God Reveals His Plan for Sodom (v.16–21):

As the visitors prepare to leave, God decides to reveal His plan to judge Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham.

God emphasizes His justice and accountability, saying the cities' sin is very grave.

Abraham Intercedes for Sodom (v.22–33):

Abraham pleads with God to spare the city if righteous people are found, starting from 50 down to 10.

God agrees to spare the city if even 10 righteous are found.

This shows Abraham’s compassion and God’s willingness to listen and show mercy.
