TARP CAMPING IN AN OPEN FIELD

I head out for a #solocamping adventure to do some #tarpcamping in an open field after a night of heavy rain and thunder storms. The #tarpsetup I chose is a basic lean to style with part of the tarp acting as a ground sheet. I really wanted to camp in an open field so that I could have the chance to see some wildlife, especially, deer. My wish was granted and the deer were very curious about my presence. I am not so sure that they were happy that I was still there after nightfall because they kept snorting and barking at me all night keeping me awake. The ground was absolutely saturated and to ensure a successful campfire I used a junk car hood that I found in the area. Despite the rain and a few bugs it was a great time.
