Liberals capitalized on Trump threat in election, exit poll shows

While the Liberals and Conservatives placed different emphasis on some of the central issues for Canadians in their month-long election campaigns, the focus newly-elected Prime Minister Mark Carney put on threats from the U.S. was vital in securing a fourth consecutive Liberal government.

And according to the counts in Monday’s polls, this has been a very important issue to a large portion of Canadians.
