On February 8th, 2020, Albuquerque Police in New Mexico did just that, arresting Daniel - a felon posing as a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputy. This was a classic case of the mouse getting caught in the trap.

Here's the situation: 19-year-old Sam attempted to pose as a police officer, pulling over multiple vehicles in Kenosha, Wisconsin. One of those vehicles, however, was an off-duty officer, and on June 21st, 2022, his deception quickly backfired when confronted by real police.
