Jaipur: Drunk Driving Incident Kills Minor, Driver Arrested After Rampage

Late Monday (28/04/2025) night in Jaipur, a drunk woman, identified as Srishti from Nagpur, fatally hit a minor girl, Asima, near Sanganeri Gate. Asima died on the spot, while her sister and father were injured and are undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital.

After the initial collision, Srishti drove the car on the wrong side, hitting another scooter rider and attempting to run over a police constable. She was later arrested. Two men in the car fled the scene, while the woman sitting next to Srishti was also detained.

A crowd gathered at the site, demanding justice and compensation. Senior officials, including MLA Rafiq Khan, intervened and assured the family of action. The car has been seized and a medical test confirmed that Srishti was under the influence of alcohol.

Talks between the victim’s family and the police regarding compensation are ongoing.
