Two Dead in Separate Pierce County (WA) Motorcycle Crashes

Two separate motorcycle crashes in Pierce County over the weekend claimed the lives of a 48-year-old man and a 21-year-old mother, underscoring growing concerns about motorcycle safety in the region.
The first fatal crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, April 26, near Spanaway.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the 48-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle on Pacific Avenue South and was thrown from the bike. He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by first responders.

Less than 24 hours later, tragedy struck again. At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, a 21-year-old woman was killed in a collision on Highway 7 near Elbe. Troopers say she failed to navigate a curve and collided with a guardrail. The woman, a young mother, was pronounced dead at the scene.
