Rifle Optic Height For Duty. Is Taller Better?

Optic Height has changed over the years from the old get as close to the bore as possible to over 2.5 inches in some cases. Depending on the scenario a taller optic may be needed or may just be more comfortable. There are benefits and concerns to note.
