Exempt from Hades Not HELL! Part 2

This is the Second Part of a Two Part study, to address the concept that is prevalent among modern Christianity that claims, “Once SAVED, always Saved.” As we have discussed in previous studies one of the main sources for such misleading doctrine, is our misunderstanding of what it means to be Born Again. So in this study we hope to illustrate the error of this doctrine through the exposition of the verse, “I will build My church, and the Gates of HADES will not prevail against it.” Which we hope to do through the portrayal of Israel's deliverance from the bondage of Egypt to coming to their inheritance of the promised land.

So in this part of this study, we will explore the time Israel spent in the wilderness and how that directly relates to our Christian walk. The main point of comparison being in respect to those who are disqualified, that is those who fall short of the inheritance of the kingdom of God. As such we compare Israel’s experience in the wilderness to those mentioned in the parables of the Lord: the Wicked Steward, the Mighty Lawless Worker, the Foolish Virgins, the Wedding Guest without a Garment and the Lazy Gifted Steward.
