Man accused of posing as doctor

An Appleton man is accused of posing as a doctor and now faces multiple criminal charges. The Appleton Police Department was recently contacted by someone suspicious of the services being offered at a medical office on E. Wisconsin Avenue. Police say investigators quickly determined the man offering a variety of medical treatments was not a licensed physician. Police say the man was also not licensed to prescribe or dispense medications he had been providing to patients. Police carried out a search warrant on Wednesday of the facility in question and took what they say was a man posing as a doctor into custody. Police say they found evidence of an illegal medical practice.
