Apatros Review Ep-0151: Planet of Storms [1962]

AR-0151: I am not a fan of Soviet science fiction films [Stalker and Solaris excepted] so the reason I have this particular one in my collection is due to the fact this 1962 flick about a USSR mission to explore Venus was used by Roger Corman to create three films for American distribution by some creative re-edits.

Those American versions are superior thank to the better writing they had, while the Soviet original only has the excellent for the time VFX for a positive, the rest is pro-Communist propaganda. Nevertheless if you're a collector, this might prove worthy if you have the Corman re-edits as this will provide the origin context and it is interesting to see how the Soviets would have conducted their space missions were the Soviet Union still to exist...
