Earth is burning. The Reapers have taken over, and other civilizations are falling like dominoes. Lead the final fight to save humanity and take back Earth from these terrifying machines, Commander Shepard. You’ll need backup for these battles. Fortunately, the galaxy has a habit of sending unexpected species your way. Recruit team members and forge new alliances, but be prepared to say goodbye at any time as partners make the ultimate sacrifice. It’s time for Commander Shepard to fight for the fate of the human race and save the galaxy.

In this playthrough we cover:

Act 3:
After securing Krogan support for the Turians to get their support for Earth, a major insurrection is discovered that shakes the status quo of the war. After surviving that, Shepard must once again attempt to end one of the longest-standing cold wars in the galaxy between the Quarians and Geth.

Priority: Rannoch:
Shepard heads to Rannoch to eliminate the Reaper base controlling the Geth. After disabling planetary defenses, Shepard uses a Reaper-code targeting laser to guide an orbital strike on a massive Reaper destroyer. A brutal boss fight follows, with Shepard using the laser to target weak points while avoiding the Reaper’s beam attacks. After defeating the Reaper, Shepard contacts the Quarian fleet and Legion uploads the Reaper code to grant the Geth true intelligence. Tali protests, fearing the Geth will wipe out the Quarians. Shepard intervenes, successfully convincing both sides to make peace. Legion, realizing that individuality now defines his people, sacrifices himself to complete the upload. The Geth gain sentience and independence, and the Quarians cease their war, choosing coexistence. Shepard, Tali, and the surviving fleets witness the beginning of a new alliance forged from sacrifice and trust.

N7: Fuel Reactors:
Shepard responds to a distress call from a Turian fuel depot under Cerberus attack. After fighting through multiple enemy waves inside the refinery, Shepard must choose whether to send engineers to restore fuel flow or help soldiers fend off attackers. Successfully managing both leads to increased war assets. The mission strengthens military supply lines and exposes Cerberus’ attempts to sabotage the allied war effort.

Citadel Excision 4:
Shepard returns to the Citadel for a series of downtime moments and side assignments. He confronts the Volus Ambassador, discovering he was plotting against the Citadel Council and recruits Zaeed as a war asset. In Chemical Treatment, Shepard recovers medicine for a Salarian scientist. The Batarian Codes assignment involves tracking stolen security protocols tied to terrorist threats. Shepard also meets Miranda at the Presidium Commons, learning more about her suspicions involving her father and her sister Oriana. In a personal moment, Shepard joins Garrus for target practice on the Citadel apartment rooftop, where the two reflect on their war experiences and bond over old rivalry and friendship.

Act 4:
After ending their second multi-century conflict, Shepard is directed to the Asari homeworld of Thessia in search of the Catalyst, the key component of the Crucible, putting them on a collision course with Cerberus. The assault on this shadowy organization's headquarters mark the beginning of the end of Shepard's long journey to stop the Reapers.

Priority: The Citadel III:
Shepard and the team respond to a Cerberus attack on the Citadel itself. After fighting through heavy resistance, Shepard discovers the Illusive Man’s mole: Councilor Udina. Udina had allied with Cerberus in an attempt to gain power but is ultimately confronted. Depending on prior choices, Kaidan or Ashley may intervene, with Shepard convincing them to trust him and stand down. Udina is killed, and the Cerberus plot is foiled. The assault leaves the Citadel damaged but still operational. The mission also results in Thane Krios’ fatal injuries if he attempted to defend the Salarian Councilor earlier.

Priority: Thessia:
Shepard travels to Thessia, the Asari homeworld, under Reaper siege, to retrieve an important Prothean artifact. Joined by Liara, Shepard fights through devastated cityscapes and Asari command posts. The mission ends in failure when Cerberus forces, led by Kai Leng, ambush Shepard and steal the artifact. Shepard and the team barely escape. The loss of the beacon and destruction of Thessia's capital is a devastating blow, especially to Liara, who is left shaken by her people’s loss and the revelation that the Asari had hidden critical Prothean knowledge.
