Geralt's travels led him to a village gripped by fear. The townsfolk were anxiously awaiting an attack by Little Red, a ruthless bandit leader seeking revenge on one of their own. Siding with the villagers, Geralt promised to stand his ground.

When Little Red and her gang stormed the village, they quickly learned the price of crossing a witcher. Geralt dispatched the attackers with brutal efficiency, collected his reward, and once again rode off toward the horizon.

Later, an old woman in Velen sought Geralt’s help with a different kind of mystery: something—or someone—had been stealing her hens. Following the strange wolf-like tracks, Geralt discovered the culprits were not monsters, but a group of orphaned children, left behind by the ravages of war.

Faced with a difficult decision, Geralt was reminded once again that in war-torn lands, monsters aren't always the ones with claws and fangs.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Polish: Wiedźmin 2: Zabójcy Królów) is a 2011 action role-playing game developed by CD Projekt Red, based on Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy novels. As a sequel to the 2007 game The Witcher, it continues the saga of Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter known as a Witcher. Released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, OS X, and Linux, the game immerses players in a richly detailed world inspired by Polish history and Slavic mythology. By September 2014, it had sold over 8 million copies, cementing its status as both a critical and commercial success. The series' acclaim continued with the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in May 2015.
