A new exhibition dedicated to the work of Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige opens at the British Museum in London on Thursday (May 1). "It's the subdued quality of his work that makes it so really engaging, that invites the viewer to study and to look and to participate and to enter into the pictures that he presented," Alfred Haft, curator for Japanese Collections at the British Museum, told Reuters on Monday (April 28).
