The Power of Prayer | Victory Talk | Tommy M. Josefsson

One of the most important foundations in our lives as believers is prayer, your personal communication with God, without it your faith will slowly die out, just as you need the fellowship with other believers. There is power in your prayer, believe that you have what you have asked for, therefore you pray to a God who can and wants to answer prayer. James 5:13-18 Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

1 Tim. 6:11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

Matt. 18:18-19 Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. “Again, I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.

Matt 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Jn. 15:7-8 If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

1 Jn. 5:14-15 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. (verses 16-17 talk about sin and how we should pray for the sinner so they can be forgiven) ...

Psalm. 28:6-7 Blessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the sound of my pleading. The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore, my heart triumphs, and with my song I shall thank Him.
