Some parts of The Ballet Performance of Romeo & Juliet ~ Istanbul

A few days ago, I had the chance to experience one of the most beautiful ballet performances I’ve ever dreamed of: Romeo & Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev.
The performance took place on April 22, 2025, at Atatürk Cultural Center – Türk Telekom Opera Hall in Istanbul, as part of the 2024-2025 season of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
From the moment I stepped into the theatre, it felt like stepping into another world — a place where lights, music, and the poetic movements of the dancers told the timeless story of love and tragedy without uttering a single word.
The choreography was by Ricardo Amarante, and the orchestra was conducted by Zdravko Lazarov.
The stage and costume designs brought the classic tale to life with breathtaking beauty.
