E16 - “Butterfly Kisses”

Looking back, it is interesting how our relationships with our parents (mainly my dad for me) change as we progress through our lives. This month I dive into the changes that I have noticed with my relationship with my dad.

I may not need my dad the same way I did when I was a child, but he has showed me early on that he is someone that I can always depend on. He has never wavered on being a support system for me, even now with me being married & living in a different state.

It’s not always the easiest thing to unpack feelings towards your parents when they have fallen short, but it’s good to remind yourself that they are human too.

No specific lyrics to highlight this month, this is just mine & my dad’s song.
