Gedonia 2, early access: episode 15, extreme difficulty rogue 1

Mostly unedited showcase of creating a new open world save with a newly created character that's going to play the same build as my main character. I get distracted by groups of enemies that I know don't give much experience or have any loot worth my time, but I'm compelled to start unnecessary battles anyway.

There are three difficulties in Gedonia 2: normal, hard, extreme. What's the difference between these difficulties? Enemy max health seems to be the same. The amount of enemies is higher in harder difficulties. Enemies seem to hit harder but it's hard to tell.

For the most part, any playstyle that's effective against large amounts of enemies and efficient at to avoid or negate enemy attacks won't feel the higher difficulty. Melee and magic characters have an easy time since their skills are activated frequently and apply to a large area. Melee playstyles have it a little more difficult since you have to be in close range where enemies can hit you with attacks that don't always animate before the damage detection activates.

Mages have it easy since spells have effectively infinite range as long as the enemy is still on screen and you can climb up a giant mountain while aiming at a steep angle downward but enemies can't angle their necks up to aim and throw things at you. There's a lot of terrain where mages can perch and throw things at enemies but enemies can't figure out how to walk up there and their attacks don't angle high enough to reach you, so you're effectively invincible. This same advantage should be equally useful to archers but because of the way archery skills are designed, the archery playstyle is most effective at close to medium range while being mediocre at best at long range.

Future episodes involving this character and world will be combat highlights. I'll cut out the parts where I forget what I'm supposed to be doing, wander around aimlessly, pick up plants, and other things that are the same as a normal difficulty world. The world is dangerous in the highest difficulty setting so to survive I have to become dangerous--which is why this character has that name.
