Dramatic Re-Creation Theater Presents: What Happens When Dad is in Charge of the Music

Music is generational.

I understand this.

That said, it’s my job as a parent to try and raise my kids with an appreciation for the arts.

Classic TV, like South Park, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The best movies ever made, like The Blues Brothers, and Predator.

And, music that is beyond their normal range of taste.

My son listens to something called Chewey Cat.

It’s insufferable.

My daughter listens to Ariana Grande.

When I say I think she’s inappropriate, I don’t mean in a moral sense, I mean in a creative, and/or intellectual sense.

The dumbing down of society is a real thing, and championing mediocrity is harmful.

Thus, I’m in charge of the radio (and Spotify playlist) when in the car.

Just doing my dad duties.
