✨ Encounters with the Risen Christ | Luke 24:13-49 | Road to Emmaus & Appearance in Jerusalem ✨

In today’s reading from Luke 24:13-49, we witness two incredible encounters with the Risen Jesus — first on the dusty road to Emmaus 🌿 and then in the midst of His gathered disciples in Jerusalem.

Two heartbroken followers are walking away from their hopes, but Jesus meets them on the journey, opening the Scriptures and breaking bread — revealing Himself at just the right moment. Later, Jesus appears directly to the disciples, offering peace, showing His wounds, and explaining how everything had to happen to fulfill the Scriptures.

The significance of these events cannot be overstated:
They confirm the reality of the Resurrection. Jesus is not a spirit or a memory — He is alive in body and spirit! ✨
They fulfill the prophecies. Everything in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms pointed to His suffering, death, and resurrection. 📜
They launch the mission. Jesus commissions His followers to preach repentance and forgiveness to all nations. 🌍

How this relates to our lives today:
Even in our confusion, pain, or fear, Jesus draws near — often before we realize it.
He invites us to recognize His presence in everyday moments — in Scripture, in prayer 🙏, and in the breaking of bread.
He calls us not just to believe, but to be His witnesses — living proof of the hope and forgiveness found in Him.

Key Lessons:
Jesus is patient with our doubts and fears.
Scripture brings clarity when life feels uncertain.
We are called to be active witnesses of the Good News.
True peace comes only through the risen Christ. ✝️🕊️
