Can You Guess This Invention?

This is a drawing of a normal modern technology you use everyday.

Except the people that drew it were early science illustrators from over a hundred years ago.

Can you guess what it is?
Those are cars.

Here's another pencil sketch, but of a real initial version of a car. Engineers used to attach wooden horse heads.

And if you think this is just dumb people in the past, this phenomenon still happens today.

Like when smartphones first got popular, apps were designed to look like the real thing.

Cuz when something new appears, we tend to think of it as an upgraded version of the old thing. But most people don't realise they can't comprehend what they haven't experienced. Even sci fi writers can't escape this.
So how are we doing this with AI?
