Driving Tour: Elk Fork Recreation Area

We took a recent drive through Elk Fork Recreation Area in Shoshone National Forest. I 4K videoed it for our viewers. Notice the burned out areas and charred trees, a sad reminder of the destructive wildfire that passed through the park in the summer of 2024. Many damaged trees had to be cut down, completely altering the look of the area - which was originally covered in dense coniferous and deciduous forests. It will take decades for the landscape to recover.
