Like the other day I was around my daughter and her husband.
Until I’m around others, I don’t realize how far away in my head, I am from other people.

Some of you know I have an obtuse neighbor. He and his friends get drunk and yell and bay at the moon as it were; to all hours of the early morning. Probably four nights a week watch a game or playing a video game smoking cat manure.

So, I took it upon myself to hurl some profanity back across the fence at them. I immediately felt checked in my spirit for having given into a base thoughtlessness and a foolish reaction.

He didn’t profit from the rebuke and I gained nothing but a wounded spirit.

He who corrects and instructs a scoffer gets dishonor for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man gets insults for himself.

[a]Do not correct a scoffer [who foolishly ridicules and takes no responsibility for his error] or he will hate you;
Correct a wise man [who learns from his error], and he will love you.

Give instruction to a wise man and he will become even wiser;
Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.

The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence],

My thoughts, at the time were, if I spoke to him in his native tongue, he may respond positively. Not so, not so.
Native tongue, in this instance, it may mean-the profane and evil tone of the spoiler.

To my surprise he was quiet for about four nights in a row.
Well, he is also a father and had his kids over Easter Brake.

So I went to his development’s website, to determine what his HOA’s rules and regulations state about persistent noise infractions.

Even though our properties abut in the backyard he lives under a different subdivision’s HOA rules.

I spoke to his HOA Representative, she was willing to receive any reports I may proffer.

The two things I want to emphasize.
To not allow your emotions to rule.
Decisions made in the heat of the moment never seems to be the right solution in the longterm.

I rarely allow a memory of the old man of sin to arise. I have learned to quell it; with God’s Gifts and Grace before there is resurrection of man of sin.

I wished I had learned to control my emotions earlier in life.
I would not have caused as many heartaches.

Secondly, taking note of the Spirit’s activity and voice. I want to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, always mindful, She is sensitive.

I trust my little lesson, maybe of help to at least one y’all.
