Toddler Mayhem & Beachside Nursing: Spencer’s Epic First Playdate at Budds Beach ||

Hey Rumble crew,

Get ready for over an hour of pure, unfiltered toddler energy! I’m stoked to share footage from an awesome playdate at Budds Beach on the Gold Coast, where my little Spencer met Finn, the toddler grandson of our killer videographer, Gary Tresize, and his older brother, Koa (about six, I reckon), for the first time. It was a wild ride of kid chaos, stolen snacks, and a grounding breastfeeding moment that made the day extra special.

You probably know Gary from Local and Creative Productions, the team behind our videos. His grandsons, Finn and Koa, are regular stars, but they live way out at Golden Hill Farm in Rosedale, so this get-together was a big deal. It was all about kids doing what kids do best—running amok—while Gary and I swapped camera duties to catch the madness.

The day started with a quick walk from our apartment, pushing Spencer in his pram as he checked out the sights. Budds Beach is a toddler’s playground, with tons of grass to tear around on. Spencer and Finn were like little hurricanes, toddling everywhere and getting into everything. At one point, I had both of them piled on my lap—a squirming, laughing mess of toddler vibes that was as hectic as it was hilarious. Koa? He was off like a rocket, chasing fish in the water or climbing a tree, keeping us on high alert.

I brought some snacks—potato gems and other kid-friendly stuff—and the boys were all over them. That is, until a gutsy bird dove in, snatched a gem, and flew up to a branch to chow down, which had the kids cracking up.

The real highlight for me was chilling on our blanket to breastfeed Spencer. He settled in for a full feed, taking his time, and I soaked it all in. Nursing him with the beach breeze and water sounds in the background was pure calm in the middle of the storm. There’s something raw and real about breastfeeding out in nature, and this was one of those moments that just sticks with you.

This playdate was loud, messy, and full-on—pretty much the toddler life in a nutshell. The video’s got it all, from the crazy to the quiet, and I’m pumped to share it with you. Thanks for riding along with us!
