The Root of the Matter; Mark 11:12-33

Are you bearing fruit or just putting on a show?

In Mark 11, Jesus curses a fig tree that looked alive but bore no fruit. He then cleanses the temple of those profiting from worship. These weren't random acts - they were powerful object lessons about authentic faith.

God isn't impressed by our religious facades or rituals. He's looking at our hearts. Are we truly rooted in Christ, or just going through the motions?

True faith produces fruit. It transforms us from the inside out. It's not about looking the part, but living it out.

Don't be like that fig tree - alive on the outside but dead at the root. Let your faith in Christ be the foundation that produces real, lasting fruit in your life.
