Andrew P: Nope. It's the horror. I'm a high school teacher and they come to me not knowing any historical or basic facts. No kidding. It's horrible. I have seniors that don't know what a colon ( : ) or a semicolon ( ; ) is and how it's used in a sentence. I'm mean seriously. I found out a few years ago my students never learned how to alphabetize!!! You would think, right? Nope.

Smack Dracula: Public Education - Why is it advantageous for a government to keep a population stupid? Perhaps if our youth were aware taxes are optional, the next generation of voters would demand politicians leave their incomes alone. Just saying.
