In addition, reportedly false rumors have been circulating regarding a possible pact being made between Russia and the US. But before the story could pick up steam, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff strongly denied the Politico report claiming the Trump administration was considering lifting sanctions on Russia—including those on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline—as part of Ukraine peace talks. In a joint statement from the White House, they called the article “completely false” and accused Politico of “journalistic malpractice.”

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is calling on President Trump to launch military strikes to take out Iran’s nuclear sites, saying diplomacy has failed with a regime that’s caused chaos in the region for decades.
