This video puts our load development methodology into practice to find a good powder, charge weight, and seating depth for the 178gr ELD-X out of a Browning X-Bolt 30-06. This is then compared to the same slug out of a .308 M5 in 10% gel at 400 yards. Checking terminal ballistics in gel is a great way to confirm the practicality of a chosen load. We were unable to recover bullets in this test, but in our next video we will use an approximation to shoot at a distance and velocity that allows bullet recovery.
