From a young age, Robert Maddox was fascinated by thrust-propelled machines, building wooden planes with rockets as a child. His passion for pulsejet engines began in his 20s during a skydiving experience. Despite the limited availability of pulsejets, Maddox started creating his own engines, beginning with a prototype that produced 50 pounds of thrust. Driven by his enthusiasm, he developed larger and more powerful pulsejet engines, eventually achieving 1000 pounds of thrust, making them the largest in the world. Maddox's innovative spirit led him to integrate these engines into various vehicles, including go-karts, cars, bicycles, and skateboards, transforming everyday items into engineering marvels.
