"There are also techniques that people are reluctant to talk about but where you reduce the warming through having particles, what's called solar radiation management. And if you're starting to see positive feedbacks, in terms of the temperature it's all about temperature."

"And there is some uncertainty about are there positive feedbacks having to do with ocean circulation, methane release, a variety of other things. Right now, we don't see those as super likely but we have to admit there's a lot we don't know. You know, why did the ice sheets collapse as quickly as they did in the historical record?"

"So I still list climate change as one of the great five problems, you know, right up there with bioterrorism, managing AI, not having nuclear wars. I rate that as still a a super important thing. But I don't think, you know, I don't think in the, you know, 2.5 degree regime that the likelihood that we'd have to deploy the SRM is there. I do think we should research that and have it available."

"And I do think pushing for those extremely low cost carbon removal technologies, that is one of the most important things. So I, you know, made sure breakthrough and as funding that and, you know, that would really change this picture."
