HEWITT: “But the way that General Bondi laid down the fact, it’s open and shut, she was breaking the law.”

BAIER: “Wisconsin State Assembly saying more people, Juan, should do what this judge did. Take a listen.”

[Clip starts]

CLANCY: “There’s no precedence for taking a judge in this manner. And I want to be really clear that what Judge Dugan apparently did was what all of us should be doing, and that is standing up for folks in our communities who need support right now against the Trump regime more than ever.”

[Clip ends]

BAIER: “Is this firing up the left and does it play politically with the middle, Juan?”

WILLIAMS: “I think both are true. I think it is firing up the left. I think you heard from the man we just listened to in the clip, but also to the mayor. And I think their argument, Bret, is that ICE cannot be judge, jury and executioner. In this case, the argument is the judge’s responsibility is to maintain justice and decorum in her court so that witnesses, defendants and, you know, people who have been involved with crimes don’t think that going to the courthouse means that you are going to a hunting ground for ICE. And answer to your second question, the Fox poll that came out this week said that a majority, a clear majority of Americans think that the court system has the right to stand up to Trump’s efforts in terms of aggressive mass deportations.”
