Lavrov Said the Kremlin was Ready to Reach an Agreement With the US on Ukraine

Lavrov said the Kremlin was ready to reach an agreement with the US on Ukraine, although he said some elements needed to be "reworked."

"The US president believes - and I think rightly so - that we are moving in the right direction. In the statement, the president mentioned a deal, and we are ready to reach a deal. But there are certain details that need to be worked out. We are busy with this process," Lavrov said in an interview with the American channel CBS.

There are "several signs that we are moving in the right direction," he said.

Earlier, Secretary of State Rubio announced more meetings on Ukraine this weekend.

Before this, Trump set a deadline for concluding the deal : two weeks.
