Catching a 5-Pounder

In this 25-acre private pond in Oklahoma, 3% of the bass caught are over 13 inches. The bass population more than likely has an over-population problem. This is the pond I know and have mainly fished my whole life, so anything over 13 inches is special.

During this trip in April, 2025, I was out primarily harvesting bass to bring home for my lunches, and then had this pleasant surprise.
