When President Donald Trump proudly displays a ball cap declaring his intent to remain in power in 2028—with or without an election—it should send shockwaves across the entire political spectrum, Republican and Democrat alike. If this doesn't raise red flags nationwide, I truly don’t know what will.

This is a man who sees himself as a legend in his own mind, a delusional figure who continues to spread lies, threats, and absurd fantasies—including the laughable and offensive idea that Canada will somehow become the 51st state of what was once the great United States of America.

Let me be perfectly clear: we Canadians want nothing to do with Trump—his chaos, his misinformation, his bullying, or his dangerously unstable ambitions. We are a proud, sovereign nation with a history of resilience—remember, we beat the United States in the War of 1812, and if need be, we will defend our borders and our values again. An attack on Canada is an attack on our allies and NATO partners.

Trump’s behavior not only violates the spirit of democracy, it actively threatens it. The U.S. Constitution explicitly forbids a third presidential term, yet his ongoing rhetoric—and actions—suggest he may attempt to cling to power regardless. Based on his history, I would not be surprised if those involved in the January 6th insurrection are quietly regrouping under his command, training like a private army reminiscent of the SS under Hitler.

Let that sink in.

Medical professionals, political analysts, and concerned citizens alike have raised the alarm: Donald Trump is a dangerous, unhinged individual who dwells in a fantasy world, part dictator, part demagogue, wholly detached from reality. His delusions of grandeur and authoritarian tendencies pose a grave threat not only to the United States but to global stability.

I can only hope that either divine intervention or a political reckoning removes him from the spotlight before it's too late—before his ego and paranoia lead the world toward the unthinkable: a nuclear catastrophe triggered by a man who believes himself above all law and reason.

The world is watching. May America choose wisely.
