For two months in 2021, the "Caldor fire" in El Dorado, Amador, and Alpine Counties destroyed 221,835 acres and over 1,000 structures. The 4,000-foot elevation town of Grizzly Flats in El Dorado County got hit the hardest as it was basically leveled. Several hundred of those Grizzly Flats residents lost everything due to having their Homeowners policies being denied for renewal! The media attention quickly went away, and these friends, families, and neighbors were left without any help! Including, nothing from FEMA. Governor Gavin Newsom, and the usual parade of horrific CA elected representatives never showed up to even assess the damage! WHY? Could it be because it was a Conservative area? Whatever the reason, thank GOD there are people still trying to help our fellow Californians! Saturday, May 3, from 5-8 PM in Cameron Park, CA, these great people (WestSlopeFoundation.org) are going to throw a family-friendly event to raise more funds for those Grizzly Flats residents who have lost it all. Please watch, share this show, and join CharLee Simons for the Wildfire Prevention Summit at 3181 Cameron Park Dr. #104, Cameron Park, CA.
